What happens to your research request
GrantData is a public-source research service from Azimuth Analysis LLC. Its public AI tools do not require a GrantData account.
Information we receive
When you use GrantData through ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, or another client connected to our research tools, that client sends our service a tool request. It may include search terms, organization names, employer identification numbers, places, or text from your conversation. Our service returns results to the client. The client decides what information to include in a request, so avoid putting private or sensitive information into a GrantData question.
If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include. Please do not send private client documents or sensitive personal information unless we have agreed on an appropriate way to handle them.
How the service uses information
We use tool requests to search our public-source data, return results, enforce usage limits, troubleshoot errors, and respond to support or correction requests. The public tools do not create a saved GrantData research history or write your findings into our knowledge graph. A dated, aggregate tool-call counter helps enforce the public usage limit; it does not identify individual users.
Your AI client
Your AI client may keep or use the conversation, its tool requests, and GrantData's returned results under the terms and settings for your account or workspace. OpenAI handles ChatGPT; Anthropic handles Claude and Claude Code when used with a Claude account. Other clients and workspace operators have their own practices. Azimuth Analysis does not control those practices or your settings with them. Review the OpenAI privacy policy, the Anthropic privacy policy, or the policy for the client you use.
Hosting and operational records
Azimuth Analysis runs the tool service on Microsoft Azure and searches data in Google BigQuery. GrantData's website is hosted on Vercel. These providers may process technical or operational records under their services and policies.
Retention and requests
The public tools do not keep a user research workspace. The dated usage counter and provider operational records may persist; we have not set a single product-wide deletion period for them. We keep support correspondence as needed to answer and follow up on requests. For a privacy question or a request to access or delete information Azimuth controls, email daniel@collegeazimuth.com. Tell us enough to locate the request without sending unnecessary sensitive details. Some records may need to be kept for security, legal, or operational reasons. Requests about a conversation stored by ChatGPT, Claude, or another client should go to that provider or workspace operator.
